Planning A Car Audio System Installation
With such a wide range of components and gadget on the market for car audio systems, the big question is “Where do I start?”
First you must decide what exactly you wish to do. If you are wanting to build a car audio system for a daily driver (the car you drive back and forth to work) with good sounds, but you are not interested in competing, a system can easily be put together for under $1000. However, if you are looking for the all-out bass monster, be prepared to drop in some big bucks into your system.
One of the most important things to keep in mind when building a car audio system is planning. Get an idea of where you are going to place components, subwoofers, amplifiers, and power distribution. A lot of headache can be avoided with the proper planning!!
For the basic system, lets look at some of the components needed.
Let’s first start with the head unit (CD player). Obviously you are going to want a nice head unit. If you start with a good quality cd player, and choose to upgrade your sound system in the future, purchase a head unit that will grow with you. Some of the features you may want to keep in mind are:
1. CD changer controls
2. XM / Sirius controls (if you decide to add Satellite radio in the future)
3. Dual RCA outputs (carries signal to the amplifiers)
4. Pause button (important for competing)
5. Detachable face, or other security devices
6. High voltage line driver - this will send the sound signal at a higher voltage to your amplifier/s reducing noise and improving overall sound quality.
After you have chosen your head unit, you will want to make a decision on amplifiers and subwoofers. Keep in mind that you get what you pay for. A $30 subwoofer will be as big as a $300 subwoofer, but the capacities of each will differ greatly. Look at the power handling of each subwoofer and decide accordingly. You will want subwoofers will work with your amplifier/s (see compatibility).
You must also keep in mind the available space in your vehicle. Are you willing to give up your entire cargo area? How many subwoofers will fit? Decide on the size. Sizes will vary from 8″ up to 18″, some are square (Kicker), but most are round. Also keep in mind the resistance (ohms) of the subwoofer and make sure they are compatible with your amplifier/s (see compatibility). The subwoofer decision will also have an effect on the enclosure you decide to build or buy. For the basic system, I would recommend purchasing a pre-fabricated subwoofer enclosure. This will save you a bit of money and headache (especially if you end up building it two or three times!!). Make sure you take accurate measurement of your cargo area before building or buying an enclosure!!
Other components may be needed depending on the type of system you are building and how elaborate you want your sound to be. For the competition vehicle, figure on upgrading your alternator, adding a battery to your system (maybe more), running high quality RCA cables, power cables, ground cables, and speaker cable. You may need to add a capacitor to provide your amplifier with a reservoir of power for bigger hits from the subs. You may need an electronic crossover, an equalizer, replacement factory speakers, an amplifier for your mid-range and tweeters, additional speakers within your vehicle for staging, etc.
I have been involved in the car audio arena for several years, and have competed locally in the Kansas City are with USACi. You may find me online at www.maximumspl.com. For additional information, visit us online at www.maximumspl.com
How I made a 50 yr old man cry with my Christmas Cookies - Top 5 Simple Tips to Holiday Gift Giving
I love gifting and there is nothing more exciting than the Christmas holiday season. Gifting should be thoughtful and most of all, FUN! Here are some tips to show you how I made a 50 year old man weep on Christmas Day through my gift Christmas cookie recipes.
I baked no less than 50 christmas cookie packages this holiday season for gifting. Not just because of budgets or lack of ideas but because I thought it was the best way to spread my love. And to my surprise, an uncle-in-law, someone who I don’t know very very well, was the most touched.
It’s an experience and result that I will never forget!
I didn’t know this, but with the tips you are about to read below, I touched his heart and made this man feel very special.
Tip 1. Gesture Counts.
Christmas gifting is special. Gesture really counts, and it’s not about the expensive gifts or the brand names.
Don’t misjudge your gesture. I made no less than 50 small gifts of Christmas cookies and never guessed that just one out of them all will bring an experience in my life that I (and the recipient) will never ever forget.
Think about the people around your life. Don’t discount anybody. Be positive about everyone in your life.
You should never expect anything in return. Of all Christmas cookies that I baked for the holiday season, my main worry was whether they would enjoy them. But because of my gesture and all the steps I took (as stated in this article) it surprised me that not only ALL the recipients loved the cookies, but they were very impressed with the packaging and felt warm and loved. Now, isn’t that a great Christmas gifting experience?
People from all walks of life will enjoy your gesture. Many of my recipients were said to be grumpy, picky, snobby, etc. types of people, but I did not want to exclude anyone. Turns out, even the picky ones were appreciative of my gift.
Tip 2. Good things come in small Packages.
You don’t have to make large gifts or pack your gift boxes or baskets full of different gifts. Like I said, it’s the gesture that counts.
Think of just a few items that could be special to your recipients in general. For example, one of my cookies in the Christmas package included a “Caramel toasted macadamia nuts cookie” recipe. I had just come back from a trip to Australia and bought some local macadamia nuts. So, this made the Christmas cookie recipe special as it was from somewhere else and a recipe that I baked up. I could have given each member a souvenir from Australia, but instead, I used just one packet of macadamia nuts and expanded the gift by spreading it through my cookie gifts.
Try to think of any seasonal or popular themes in your gifting and just focus on two or three of these themes.
Tip 3. Homemade Warmth.
Ok, you may not have all the time on earth to be hand-making all your gifts. But we are talking about how to really touch your close friends and family on the holiday seasons and there is nothing, absolutely nothing, more special than a Christmas handmade gift.
Even if you can only take a couple of hours to bake some Christmas cookies, these will be the most appreciated items that you can give. (Just holiday gift shopping can take more time than that itself!)
You don’t have to bake or hand-make gifts for every single person, but you taking a little time out (because it doesn’t have to take long at all) will be evident in your gesture.
Bake just for your wife, or just for your husband, or just for your parents, etc. tells them that they are more special than anyone in your life.
Tip 4. Standout from the rest.
Being unique does not have to take too much creativity. If you need inspiration, there is a lot of great information that you can find so quickly and easily online today.
Stand out from the rest and give something different. Even if you are giving the same gift to a particular person and they are receiving the same type of item, by being creative in your thinking, either through a creative add-on to a Christmas cookie recipe, or through a color of wrapping, etc. you will stand out from the rest.
Personalizing items will guarantee that your gifts standout from all others.
Tip 5. Personalize it.
Take the time out to personalize your little packages. Tag each gift with a handwritten name tag and your Christmas gifts will be remembered and be appreciated.
Think about each recipient’s interests or favorite colors, etc and apply that in your packaging.
It was with the exact steps above, simple but truly successful, that made this 50 year old man weep.
You see, he went on to tell me that he has never received any gifts, and one with his name handwritten to him, from his family, friends, co-workers, nor from his own wife in his entire life!
I was taken back and it touched me just as much as it touched him.
How something so simple, thoughtful and easy has brought people together and made all my friends, family and network feel so special.
Isn’t that what the holidays are all about?

How to Add RSS to Your Website - Simply
I am primarily a web-based travel agent, making my living from selling travel arrangements from leads generated from my specialist travel websites. Over a period of time I have built many websites and when creating the last few sites I have added an RSS news feed to generate up-to-date news about that particular travel niche.
In doing so I have added another valuable resource for my potential clients and site visitors but at the same time I have added a source of continually changing content that helps my sites with regard to their search engine optimisation.
However, initially I found the great mass of articles, ebooks and software really confusing. All I wanted to know was how to be able to set up an RSS feed and then add it to my site.
After many, many hours of researching RSS feeds and buying quite a few, reasonably expensive RSS feed creation programs, I finally came across this solution, which for me, is easy to use, straightforward to set up and, more importantly, is free.
To set up, say, a “Cruise News” feed, I would find a suitable feed from sources such as www.icerocket.com, www.2rss.com or visit Yahoo’s news feeds at http://news.yahoo.com/rss.
For example, to create a feed in Yahoo I would enter my subject in the “search” box, which would result in a new page of news, relevant to cruises and cruising. I would then click on the orange RSS feed icon that will be shown on the page and the copy the resulting feed URL, (e.g., http://news.search.yahoo.com/news/rss?p=cruise&ei=UTF-8) that would appear in the IE address bar.
Next I would visit “FeedJ2s”, at http://jade.mcli.dist.maricopa.edu/feed/index.php?s=build and enter that Cruise News feed URL. Then, by pressing the “Generate Feed” button I would be able to generate the relevant “Cruise News” RSS code that I could then enter in the relevant place on my new website.
Now I am not suggesting that this is the best way you could create a useable RSS feed for your website. There are plenty of other ways and other programs out there and you can visit my dedicated website (http://www.rss-feeds-4u.com) which will tell you all about RSS feeds and products.
However, if you don’t want to spend a lot of time or any money on setting up RSS feeds for your website, this must be the easiest way by far.

Equity Line of Credit: the Answer to Your Financial Needs?
What’s sometimes better than money in the bank? Home equity!
Simply put, home equity is the current value of your home, minus the balance you owe on your mortgage.
While typical bank savings accounts may earn an average 2% annual return, home values have been appreciating at 10-20% or more — sometimes much more — per year.
Thus, as a homeowner, you have a potentially very powerful financial resource at your fingertips.
One of the most popular ways to tap into that resource is a home equity line of credit.
Is a Home Equity Line of Credit Right for You?
A home equity line of credit works something like a credit card.
Once your maximum loan amount is determined by a lender, you can borrow any amount up to that maximum. And like a credit card, your loan payments vary based on the amount you have used. As you pay down the balance, your payments go down… and your available loan balance goes back up.
Say for example you have a home that would sell for $300,000, and your mortgage balance is $200,000. Your equity is the difference, or $100,000. Most lenders will loan 100% of the equity (depending on your credit rating and some other factors). So your maximum loan amount would probably be set at $100,000. That’s your “credit limit.”
If you use $50,000 to remodel your home, you make payments based on that $50,000 — not the $100,000 maximum loan amount. If you borrow an additional $20,000 to put in a swimming pool before paying down the existing $50,000 balance, your payments would be based on the new amount, $70,000. And you still have access to the remaining $30,000. As your loan amount varies, so does your monthly payment.
This is different than a typical loan in which you would borrow a lump-sum amount and make fixed monthly payments based until the entire loan is repaid.
More Flexibility
A home equity line of credit gives you more flexibility than a typical loan. You only use (and pay for) the amount of money you really need, as you need it. And you won’t need to re-apply for a new loan every time a new financial need comes up.
Speaking of financial needs, here are some of the most popular reasons for obtaining an a home equity line of credit.
Consolidate Debts. Using your equity line of credit to consolidate other debts may eliminate the stress of multiple bills plus give you a more favorable interest rate, with a lower monthly payment — and possibility even tax benefits!
Make Home Improvements. Many people use an equity line of credit for renovating, remodeling, or improving their home. Certain types of improvements, such as kitchen renovations, can increase the value of the home as well as make the occupants happier!
Refinance Existing Mortgage. Have interest rates decreased since you bought your home? If so, you might consider using a lower-rate equity line of credit to pay off the existing, higher-rate mortgage. Note, however, that while a line of credit may take advantage of current low interest rates, you may find that your regular loan protects you better from fluctuating rates. So if you will not be paying off the loan within the next few years, it may be best to keep your existing loan with it’s fixed interest rate.
When Should You NOT Use a Line of Credit?
Before succumbing to what seems like ‘easy money,’ it is important to evaluate the additional risk.
Some debts — such as student loans — have features that you may not be entitled to if you switch them to an equity line of credit.
Other expenses, like a new car, may seem like good items to buy with your home equity line of credit, but weigh the pros and cons carefully. Some home equity line of credit loans allow you to pay only the interest for many years. Would you really want to be paying for a car for several years after it’s lost most of its value? Unless you plan to pay off the debt as quickly as possible (which typically would mean paying more than the minimum payment), using a home equity line of credit for “disposable” consumer goods is probably not the best choice.
Remember, before taking on any financial obligations, it is important to understand the risks as well as the benefits. A home equity line of credit can be the appropriate answer to your financial needs, but be sure to get as much information as possible before signing on the dotted line.

Sports Betting Profile
Before you go out and blow all your weekly wages on sports
betting there are a few things that you need to know about the
type of gambler you are and how much is too much risk.
If you can figure out which type of gambler you are you’ll be
sure to either walk away with no losses, walk away with a nice
profit, or always walk away empty handed.
Here are the 5 types of gamblers profile
1. Ego Bettor Only out to satisfy their ego, and a little
reckless with money. Just out to win big and get the big win ego
2. The Social Bettor This bettor sees that all their friends are
betting on the same team they’ll also give it a go. No knowledge
of the team just purely for fun. Win or loose its all the same
3. The Gambler This is the ultimate addict. The love of risking
it all and the love of betting will keep the gambler always
betting.
4. The Strategist They will tend to analyse stats and player
profile and make sure they hedge themselves so they always make
money or breakeven.
5. The Big Spender Betting only for profit. Using strategies
that will make money but not just money but big money. A cross
between the strategist and the gambler.
The most common gamblers profile is 1, 2, 3, and 4. And
unfortunately they are the ones that don’t make the most wins
and are not as consistent.
There are numerous ways to improving your betting skills. For
example with sports betting understand how the team your betting
on plays, who’s their coach, what’s their winning percentage,
how many major tournaments have they won?
Another way to improve your betting is by searching the
internet. There are numerous articles and websites dedicated to
give you betting strategies and tips. However if you’re a little
more serious than the average better you might want to search
for programs or short courses that you can buy from around $40.
Some of these courses actually teach you strategies that
professional sports betters use when playing the game.
It’s not about always winning, its about keeping it consistant
and understanding your risk and rewards. The most successful
better are experienced and have most likely learned from someone
with lots of experience.
In conclusion if you want to better yourself at sports betting
go out there and find a suitable course you can buy and start
studying and practising. You don’t even have to bet with real
money when you’re starting of. You can what we call in the stock
market industry “paper trade.” Just set your bets watch the game
and do this numerous times to see if you have a betting system
that makes you money. Happy punting and good luck.

The Cost of Leasing a Credit Card Machine
Leasing credit card machines and equipment is a common practice for many new business owners. When a business starts out, they are often met with a barrage of telemarketers and companies offering to help them to accept credit cards. Because of the new business owner’s extremely busy schedule and lack of knowledge regarding the credit card processing industry, owners are often convinced that leasing a credit card terminal is the best solution for their business.
In reality, leasing a credit card machine is far from the best interest. For most businesses, a simple swipe and print credit card machine is a perfectly acceptable method of accepting credit cards. What many new business owners fail to do, is investigate the actual price of a new credit card machine. What they would find is that the outright purchase of a credit card terminal is often a completely reasonably priced purchase, and usually is many times less costly than a lease. What would cost them two to three hundred dollars to own, can cost them thousands of dollars to lease. Money is very tight, especially during the startup phase of a business, and the extra money spent on leasing a credit card machine is most definitely better suited elsewhere.
Leasing credit card equipment became a standard in the eighties and early nineties, when the lack of consumer knowledge and a growing processing industry led to the portrayal of high priced processing equipment. During this time fifty dollar per month leases were not uncommon. Since the creation of the internet, consumers have access to a vast amount of information. Processing companies can no longer easily inflate the costs of processing equipment. Now, new business owners are virtually the only group susceptible to getting scammed into a lease. This is due mainly to time constraints and a lack of research on their part.
Leases do still play a role in obtaining credit card equipment, but should only be considered when the required equipment is very high priced. Wireless terminals, while becoming more affordable, can still be a considerable investment. Wireless terminals can still cost over a thousand dollars to purchase which is definitely a significant amount of money. Leasing a wireless terminal can alleviate some of this cost, but business owners should still be aware that they will pay more than the cost of the terminal in the end.
Leases also often come with strings attached, or more appropriately a web of strings attached. Lease commonly last for thirty six to forty eight months, but can be in any increment from twelve months up to forty eight. The shorter the lease, the higher the monthly payment. Leases are also normally non cancel-able for the duration of the lease. There may be considerable penalties for canceling a lease before its term is up. Leases are not always for ownership of the equipment, and hefty buyout fees can occur at the end of the lease. Some leases start over at the end of their term, and the business only has a short window to opt out of the lease. Businesses should be aware of the terms governing the lease before they even contemplate signing it. Signing a lease without fully understanding what is involved in it and fully calculating the cost of the lease can be an extremely expensive mistake.
Enter your lease information into the lease cost calculator to find out how much extra leasing will cost you compared to purchasing. (http://www.merchantaccountblog.com/tools/credit-card-equipment-lease-calculator/)

Business Blogging — Should it Be A Protected Free Speech Right?
Business Blogging — Should it Be A Protected Free Speech Right?
Leading SEO Expert Aaron Matthew Wall Author of SEO Book Sued
over Blogging Free Speech Issue.
Blogging has come a long way as it relates to becoming a part of
mainstream media. Blogging has more recently been credited with
breaking major news stories and influencing major political
campaigns.
One of my favorite sources to read on current SEO developments
is leading search engine marketer Aaron Matthew Wall. He has
recently been commenting on a law suit from a company called
Traffic Power.
Quite frankly I don’t know all the issues involved, but I know
young Mr. Wall (only 25) to be a straight shooter on what works
and doesn’t work in SEO work. People like Aaron are becoming
personal brands online because of blogging.
This legal action is some what setting a standard on legal
rights and actions brought against bloggers. The right of a
blogger to express their opinions about businesses has caught
the attention of the Wall Street Journal (obviously not owned by
Aaron Wall).
I am a reader of SEO Book and have emailed Aaron Wall on
occasion. I even have a review of his book on my site.
>From Aaron’s blog I knew this was brewing for some time. Aaron
will praise useful services and also tell others when something
is a scam.
As a blogger it is hard to tell where to draw the line. There
are so many rip-off traffic companies out there you feel
obligated to tell your subscribers.
I don’t know all the issues in the Traffic Power law suit,
however I think a person should be able to express their opinion
about their business experiences and outlook online.
I see sites advertising and have even experienced some services
telling you they will run your ad and get you millions of
impressions. Then you discover their Alexa ranking is 3,500,000
and they are putting your ad in rotation with 16 other
advertisers.
It would take them forever — and they still couldn’t get you a
million impressions! They are just rip-offs and when you let
others know to avoid these traffic fraud type companies they get
mad and want to sue.
I am doing a lot of testing of different ways to drive lots of
targeted traffic to my sites, but 60% of the companies I try are
total rip-offs. Many of them I suspect generate traffic bots and
not actual people. When we blog our readers expect us to have a
personality and give them the inside scoop and our opinion on
things. Legal action like this will really make our jobs more
challenging to say the least.
Not only are companies trying to sue bloggers for their
commentary, but they are also attempting to sue bloggers for
feed back left by others on their blog. What is unbelievable
about this law suit is Mr. Wall is not only being sued just for
his remarks, but also for remarks left by others on his blog!
I think Aaron is courageous in taking a stand for the ability to
express his opinion, and the right of his blog users to also
state theirs. He is helping to keep the Internet a media of free
speech.
I wish Aaron Wall well in his decision to not take his personal
or critical commentary down on Traffic Power. He shouldn’t have
to feel afraid to state his opinion on web marketing matters,
even when some companies don’t approve of their reviews. These
companies would do better improving their product and put less
time into suing and other forms of intimidation.

America’s love affair with The Sopranos, The Godfather, Goodfellas, and a host of equally thrilling mobster tales can be satisfied vicariously by spending an evening at “Ba-Da-Bing”, the interactive dinner musical at the Orleans Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The show is a clever marriage between Gustav Mauler’s Italian eatery, Sazio’s, and the Ba-Da-Bing repertoire company of wise guys and slick chicks. The occasion is a surprise birthday party for Mr. Big, the Godfather of Las Vegas, and as his guests, audience members get to join one of the families. Mike Hughes, general manager, stage manager, and Mr. Big’s Bookie, explained that they have been performing for three years. They’ve been at Sazio’s one year and have become so popular that instead of five nights, they are now running seven nights a week.
Certainly, the food plays a major role in the gangster comedy’s success. There is a three-course dinner beginning with a crisp, freshly tossed Caesar salad and homemade bread. Black and white helium balloons and stars float above tables reserved for: the Pizza Family, the Antipasto Family, the Pepperoni Family, and so on. The dialogue may be tongue in cheek but the atmosphere is authentic down to the spats, the big rocks, and the pistol packin’ mamas. The show’s publicist, Bobbie Katz, explains that Ba-Da-Bing is the only interactive musical in Las Vegas. It is more intimate than Tony and Tina’s wedding. And thanks to Gustav Mauler’s cuisine, the food is far better than most catered dinners.
Even Lisa, our waitress, was Jersey through and through, her voice, resonating with Sopranos inflections. “Okay, tonight we got the Chicken Marsala with garlic mashed potatoes, the Meat Lasagna, the Grilled Ribeye Steak with Whiskey Peppercorn Sauce, and the Salmon with Honey Basil Sauce. There’s homemade Tiramisu for dessert so save room. And, everybody gets a glass a champagne to toast Mr. Big, the godfather of Las Vegas. Drinks are extra.”
As we ordered our entrée actors and actresses looking like they came out of a vintage Godfather epic roamed the private dining room, dubbing one man at each table Don for the night. Others were enlisted to participate in one of the sketches. Frankie Marone, or Moron as he’s often called, played by Ted Davey is Mr. Big’s former right-hand man. Frankie is hosting the boss’s surprise party “so’s he can get back in the Don’s good graces.” His former girlfriend, Chickie Parmesan, played by Carrie SaLoutos, happens to be Mr. Big’s favorite entertainer. Her version of “Santa Baby” brings back the warm, sultry sounds of Eartha Kitt.
Pepper Vega, played by Karin Denise, is a well trained singer/comedienne. Her timing is sharp and her personality vivid enough to be memorable. Her husband, Johnny Vega, Mr. Big’s favorite comic, played by Ted Wallek, keeps the show zipping along with fast paced banter, jokes, and colorful tiffs with Pepper.
During the main course, Frankie Marone sings a smooth rendition of “Mack The Knife”, tells everyone that the Lasagna’s never got along with the Pizzas, and the Spaghettis never got along with anybody! He invites all the Don’s to stand up while goombas holding machine guns flank a life-sized cutout of Warren Beatty from “Bonnie and Clyde”. The keyboardist, Michael Dowe, takes his cues from the action, lending a sense of authenticity and drama.
I had the Salmon with Honey Basil Sauce, and much to Gustav Mauler’s credit, the fish was fresh, flaky and moist. The sauce was tangy with a hint of sweetness. My new family members at the Antipasto table were very pleased with their entrées. Beer, wine and alcoholic beverages are extra.
“So it all started with the BadAssio Brothers”, Frankie tells the crowd who are well into their main courses. “I need some help up here.” He scans the diners and walks over to a beautiful, young woman who he coaxes and cajoles up on stage.
“Your name?”
“Yvonne.”
“So, Yvonne, Where are you from?”
“Russia. I’m here celebrating my divorce!”
The guests are now in full party mode; they cheer and applaud. Eventually they discover that Yvonne is not just an accidental tourist, she is a long-legged, professional dancer who adds more spice to an already hot line-up. Between dinner and dessert guests find themselves singing and dancing the Tarantella.
Homemade Tiramisu is served and champagne is poured as the long anticipated moment arrives—Mr. Big, the Godfather of Las Vegas makes his grand entrance. Mr. Big, who is sometimes played by Ben Morgan, the show’s producer, or by a guest, is thrilled with the party. There is more tongue-in-cheek mobster humor, vaudevillian jokes and singing. Love is in the air.
After the show, guests can take pictures and chat with the actors.

Scholarships for Graduate Students
After a few years in the working world, many graduates find that they just can’t advance any farther in their careers without having additional qualifications and credentials. Higher education is so accessible these days that a Bachelor’s degree doesn’t always bring the prestige and opportunities that it once did. This is particularly true in high technology areas, the sciences and business management.
You are probably going to have to earn a Master’s degree or a Doctorate in order to move up the corporate ladder, become a tenured teacher, or get a high-paying job in any number of other fields.
Graduate school costs a lot of money, and if you are still trying to pay off previous school loans how can you possibly get a Master’s degree without acquiring a lot of additional debt? One way is to find and apply for scholarships for graduate students.
You might not even have been aware that there are special scholarships available for graduate students. Most people think that scholarships only exist only for undergraduate students, but that’s not the case at all.
Many scholarships exist for graduate students and work in the same way that they do for undergrads, except that the awards are specifically intended to fund a Master’s degree, law degree, doctorate program, and similar advanced study endeavors. Often these are paid by large companies and corporations but rarely are strings attached relating to future work requirements.
Depending on the size of the award you win, you can either subsidize a portion of your tuition bill or be able to pay for everything and attend school on that coveted full scholarship.
Finding a scholarship as a graduate students can however pose some problems. The availability of scholarships depends on the subject to be studied and not all awards are advertised through the usual channels. It can take hours of research to come up with just a couple of leads that you could potentially qualify for. This discourages many people and a lot of awards go unclaimed as a result.
That is actually good news for you because, if you are determined, it means there sometimes isn’t much competition for a lesser-known scholarship. You will therefore have a better chance of winning an award and making grad school more affordable. But if other people can’t find out about these lucrative scholarships, how can you? Well, the easiest way is to register with a company that matches your qualifications to existing awards.
There are a number companies that perform this service for a fee, and you can find most of them online. Though the specific services and fees differ depending on which company you sign up with, you’ll generally have two separate options.
First, you can sign up with a company that will personally work with you to find potential scholarships that you can apply for. You will have to fill out an online questionnaire detailing your academic and career accomplishments, as well as your intended field of study and perhaps some personal information such as age, gender, and ethnicity.
These personal questions are important because some scholarships for graduate students are restricted to certain ethnic groups or possibly only women may be eligible for the award.
Once the company has your information, a specialist will then begin the process of matching you to award opportunities. You can then decide which awards you want to apply for.
The second option, at a much lower cost, is to sign up with a company that simply gives you access to a searchable database containing thousands of scholarships for graduate students. You can tweak your searches in various ways to yield different results This gives you greater flexibility in browsing through potential awards.
If you want to get the most out of your career, then grad school is probably the way for you to go. You can take steps now to help defray the high cost of tuition by registering with a company that will alert you to available scholarships for graduate students. You can win a significant amount of money towards your education that you will never have to repay, so check out some of these sites today.

Car Video Monitors: There Not Just For Your Kids Anymore
When car video monitors were first introduced to the market,
they primarily consisted of either an overhead or flip down
monitor. These types of monitors were geared mainly towards
parents who took long trips in the family minivan with their
kids. These days, there are quite a few more car video monitor
options available to consumers with varying reasons as to what
they are used for. Of course the market is still filled with
parents looking to keep their keeps occupied during long rides,
but now people are installing monitors to entertain business
clients, review DVD presentations on the way to a meeting or
play the latest Madden football game with their buddies on the
way to a pro football game. Aside from the overhead and flip
down monitors other types of car video monitors available to
consumers include: in-dash monitors, headrest monitors, sun
visor monitors, and mirror monitors.
Overhead Car Video Monitors: Overhead monitors are
exactly what their name implies. You can attach an overhead
monitor to the ceiling of your vehicle. Typically they are
installed in larger vehicles such as minivans and sport utility
vehicles since they require a good amount of headroom for the
overhead installation. An overhead car video monitor often fits
over your vehicle’s overhead lighting unit. A typical overhead
monitor is 7 - 10 inches, but you can buy monitors as large as
20 inches.
Flip Down Car Video Monitors: A flip down monitor is
basically an overhead monitor that flips down for viewing. When
the monitor is not being viewed it can be flipped up to add more
overhead space to the vehicle. This type of monitor is also
popular with consumers that own cars, who want an overhead car
video monitor for their back seat passengers. Flip down monitors
come in the same sizes as overhead monitors.
In-Dash Car Video Monitors: In-dash car video monitors
provide video entertainment to the often-neglected front seat
passenger (and driver, although I don’t recommend viewing the
in-dash monitor while you are driving). An in-dash monitor is
usually one component of a larger unit that includes a TV tuner
and receiver. Most in-dash monitors flip up from the unit when
being viewed and flip back down to provide more front seat space
when it is not being used. These monitors are usually 7 inches
or less.
Headrest Car Video Monitors: Headrest monitors can either
be mounted to the back of your vehicle’s headrest or mounted
into your headrest with the use of a mounting bracket and
mounting kit. There are even headrest replacement monitors that
are designed to replace your vehicle’s original headrest. This
allows the consumer to avoid cutting into the original headrest.
When you sell or get rid of your vehicle you can replace the
headrest monitors with the original headrests. Headrest monitors
can be used in conjunction with or as a replacement to an
overhead monitor. They are especially popular with car owners,
since cars typically do not provide the necessary overhead space
for overhead monitors. Headrest monitors are also generally 7
inches or less.
Sun Visor Car Video Monitors: Sun visor monitors can
either be mounted into your vehicle’s current sun visor or
purchased as a replacement to your original sun visor.
Manufacturers of sun visor replacement monitors have designed
the visors in many different colors and textures to match your
vehicle’s interior as closely as possible. A typical sun visor
monitor is 5 inches in length although they make them as large
as 7 inches.
Mirror Car Video Monitors: Mirror car video monitors are
LCD displays that are designed to fit over the existing
rear-view mirror in your vehicle. Besides being used as a
traditional video monitor, mirror monitors are also great for
rear view cameras as well. This is the smallest type of monitor
available for your vehicle and is generally no more than 4
inches long.
