Overlake Gives Naveen Jain Due Recognition
Overlake Service League’s “Step Up To The Plate” Benefit Luncheon last March 2009 was the setting for long-time philanthropist Naveen Jain to receive due recognition for his many selfless efforts. Together with his wife and partner in different advocacies, he became an honorary chair to the Bellevue School District area-based and family centered non-profit organization. Through their considerable influence as co-founders and key executives in the current organizational set-up, the couple has led Intelius’ corporate social responsibility initiatives as well.
At present, Naveen Jain is the chief executive officer for the company, while his wife Anu serves as the Vice President for Community Relations. Intellius has continuously received international recognition for its breakthrough portfolio of products and services anchored in both the information commerce as well as technology industries. Jain had founded the company in 2003, previously venturing with Infospace in 1996, and liaising with Microsoft’s elite before that.
Intelius was also the center of attention in the recent Overlake Service League (OSL) event, as it has been an unwavering partner for its programs. As the Director of Fundraising & Development for OSL, Trish Carpenter, emphatically points out, both the Jains and their company are active OSL community leaders.
The couple and their company’s earnest desire to give back to the local community is even more distinct in these times of economic uncertainty. Where others have pulled away their support, Naveen Jain made it a point to even step up during this difficult period. In the previous year, it raised a company record of $210, 000 in cash funds for its notable projects. For 2009, it has set in place an employee donation matching system as well.
The main causes that Jain champions are youth, healthcare, family issues, and education; and his support continue even when he is outside of the office.
